GALL BLADDER
Gall bladder is a muscular sac
It consists of 3 layers
i. Mucosa
🌟 Lined by simple tall columnar epithelium.
🌟 The columnar epithelium possess microvilli
for absorption of water.
🌟 Lamina propria of mucosa is rich in elastic fibres.
🌟 When bladder is empty, mucosa is thrown into small folds.
[Muscularis mucosa & submucosa absent]
ii. Fibromuscular layer
🌟 Made up of connective tissues and smooth muscle fibres.
iii. Serosa / Adventitia
